OVERVIEW
A 1400 person sit down lunch celebrating International Women’s Day for The Westpac Group and its key Barangaroo stakeholders including the Barangaroo Development Authority, KPMG and Lendlease. The event was held at one of Sydney’s newest event space, The Cutaway, a colossal concrete cavern built into Barangaroo Reserve. Keynote speakers included Westpac’s CEO Brian Hartzer, The Hon. Julie Bishop, Ann Sherry AO and Michelle Payne. The venue was not without its challenges. The Cutaway has no infrastructure of its own. Our team managed the event from end to end, which included the entire internal infrastructure including kitchen, toilets, event styling, theming, tables, chairs, etc. A massive task with an amazing result, which included fusion musical entertainment bringing the sounds of the land alive with contemporary beats and authentic Indigenous dance, telling the story of local inspirational woman, Barangaroo.
