Event Overview 

When Jaguar Land Rover Australia set out to launch the Range Rover SV Black to the Australian market, the objective was clear: create an experience worthy of the vehicle itself. 

Held as part of Melbourne Design Week, the event brought together an exclusive audience of existing clients, prospective buyers, media representatives and influential figures from Australia’s luxury and design communities. Every detail needed to reflect the craftsmanship, sophistication and exclusivity synonymous with the Range Rover brand. 

Our Approach 

At Peanut Productions, we believe the most memorable experiences are built when strategy, creativity and execution work together seamlessly. 

Working closely with Jaguar Land Rover Australia, we designed and delivered an intimate guest journey inspired by the vehicle’s “Dipped in Black” design philosophy. From guest communications and event production through to stakeholder management, supplier coordination, hospitality and vehicle logistics, every touchpoint was carefully considered to create a cohesive and elevated brand experience. 

Rather than simply revealing a vehicle, our goal was to create anticipation, emotion and connection around what the vehicle represented. 

Experience Design 

Inspired by the SV Black’s striking aesthetic, the experience transformed Melbourne restaurant Yügen’s subterranean dining space into a rich, sensory environment celebrating luxury, craftsmanship and design. 

Working alongside a collection of premium partners, we carefully curated a guest journey that immersed attendees in the world of Range Rover. Leading Sydney interior designer and event stylist Steve Cordony helped craft the visual language of the evening, bringing his renowned eye for luxury, design and contemporary living to the experience. Combined with Yügen’s culinary expertise and a carefully considered black-themed dining concept, every element was designed to reflect the sophistication and craftsmanship synonymous with the Range Rover brand. 

A highlight of the evening was the Australian reveal of the Range Rover SV Black, accompanied by an original live performance by Sound of Arlo and custom visual content designed specifically for the occasion. The result was a reveal that felt less like a product launch and more like a carefully choreographed design experience. 

Event Execution 

Luxury experiences are defined by the details. 

One of the unique aspects of this project was bringing together a collection of premium brands and partners, each contributing to the overall guest experience. Through Jaguar Land Rover Australia’s partnership with Moët Hennessy, guests enjoyed a series of exceptional beverage moments whilst Yugen provided a prestigious catering offer, inspired by the dipped in black theme. 

Our role was to ensure every contributor, every touchpoint and every guest interaction worked together seamlessly. From managing complex vehicle logistics within a restricted subterranean venue to coordinating multiple premium stakeholders, we remained focused on delivering a flawless experience from arrival through to departure. 

The result was an experience that felt highly personal, deeply considered and unmistakably Range Rover. 

Event Outcomes 

Across two exclusive dinners, Jaguar Land Rover Australia successfully introduced the Range Rover SV Black to one of Australia’s most influential luxury audiences.
