Dyson Academy is a specialised product education training series for all large Dyson product retailers across Australia. Traditionally, this event was delivered as a 3-week, 6-city roadshow across the country – which saw a team from Dyson travelling out of the office for a 21-day period.
In response to COVID-19, Peanut Productions transformed the event into a 2-night live virtual series, repeating twice in one evening to manage both East and West Australian time zones. The event was presented live from a studio and incorporated a series of both traditional and expo-styled demonstrations. This livestream version of the 6-city roadshow gained the highest attendee numbers (2,000) ever recorded for the Academy. The inclusions of gamified education, demonstrations a live Q+A feature helped drive the success of this event with the live stream doubling engagement compared to the traditional face-to-face event. The event received a 98% positive response rate for the event to continue online moving forward.
What started off as a substitute has since become a powerful tool in delivery key business messaging and team engagement.
