7-Eleven’s salute to the year that was COVID-19 saw ‘Celebrate 2020’ came to life in the form of a powerful virtual event, which unfolded with some rather unique surprises. Broadcast out of a Melbourne-based studio, the event celebrated the 7-Eleven national team with a virtual awards ceremony. Each event attendee received an event box filled with special treats and goodies to help with the festivities. As award winners were announced there was a knock at their door, and they were greeted by a small TV crew and host who presented their award in-person.

This was broadcast in real-time, nationally to the rest of the event audience A total of five awards across the nation were presented, with each winner having their own small TV crew and host come to their home to present the award. Members of the Board were brought into the event virtually to announce the winners and they then were able to have a live Q&A with each winner.

As the first winner was announced, the emotion was palpable. For almost a year 7-Eleven employees had been working under tough restrictions, but in that moment Peanut Productions were able to give them a safe and wonderful way to come together. It was an amazing event experience for attendees, with one of the Senior Leadership Team members claiming it was the best event she had ever attended.
